Why You Need to STOP Discounting Your Interior Design Services
I gotta ask you something.
Any chance you were extended the first timer discount when you bought your first iPhone?
Or when you got your MacBook - did they give it to you for free so you could try it out first?
Or your Apple Watch - when it first came out, did they offer you it for half the price?
If not, you got jipped.
KIDDING.
You weren't offered these discounts because they don’t actually exist.
But as a 3.5 TRILLION dollar company, I think it’s safe to assume that FINANCIALLY Tim Cook can afford to discount Apple’s products without needing to sell any of his yachts.
So is Mr. Cook just greedy?
Nah.
He’s a smart businessman, who knows that discounting Apple products would crush them.
If Apple started discounting their products, they would lose their status, value, positioning, reputation, respect…
Yeah, it would be pretty bad.
But every time you extend a discount to a friend, a family member, a neighbor… you’re letting your value plummet…
…in the way that Apple never would.
What seems only like a kind gesture and a quick cash injection can erode your brand’s perceived value, leaving your clients to devalue your expertise, and causing you to want to pull your hair out working with them.
Which is why I encourage you NOT to discount your services in your interior design business.
If you need a swift kick in the rear to start valuing yourself at a higher level, this live is it.
In this live video, I share…
When discounting comes up most often in my client’s design businesses
The risks you aren’t considering when you discount your interior design services
The times in which you ARE able or allowed to discount your services without losing perceived value from your clients and without sacrificing yourself
If this has been a major pain point for you in business, you’re going to enjoy this episode greatly.
Enjoy!
