Five financial processes to take control of your design business

This probably won't surprise you, but I wore a LOT of hats in my previous career.

  • Recruiter

  • Manager

  • Coach

  • Onboarding specialist

  • Training manager

As busy as I was, I couldn't be too upset about it. All of these came with the territory of being in charge.

But there was one unexpected role that I was also in charge of that really took me by surprise...

Planning our annual Community Service Day.

What seemed like a simple day of volunteering in reality took a WHIRLWIND of planning—

Marketing, rallying volunteers, organizing meals, planning activities, logistics.

You name it, I had to think about it 😵‍💫

While it was incredibly rewarding when all was said and done, the amount of work that went into it really caught me offguard.

And the thing is, you likely feel the same way about the work that goes into your interior design business.

When you first start, you dive in, excited about designing beautiful spaces, only to discover there's a whole world of processes you need to know and be executing on.

From managing clients and projects to juggling budgets and timelines, there's a lot to navigate.

But arguable the most crucial processes?

Involve managing your business finances 😳
